Co-Packing Manager - Carlsberg Azerbaijan

Role overview: We are looking for an experienced and results-oriented Co-packing Manager to lead and develop our external manufacturing and co-packing operations. In this role, you will manage relationships with co-packing partners, ensure the reliable execution of production plans, support new product and packaging launches, and maintain high standards of quality, food safety, cost efficiency and operational excellence. What You'll be doing: Develop and manage a reliable network of external co-packing partners; Identify, evaluate and qualify potential partners based on their production capabilities, capacity, quality standards, food-safety requirements and commercial conditions; Coordinate co-packing activities and align production schedules with internal teams and external partners; Monitor production performance, material consumption, production losses, delivery timelines, capacity utilization and service levels; Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, SLAs, Carlsberg quality standards, PepsiCo PLI requirements and applicable regulatory standards; Coordinate partner qualification audits, performance assessments and corrective action plans; Support investigations of product-quality incidents and ensure the timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions; Lead the implementation of new products, packaging formats, promotional packs and packaging changes at external manufacturing facilities; Coordinate manufacturing trials, validation activities and first production runs; Analyze co-packing costs and identify opportunities to improve productivity, optimize packaging processes and reduce operational losses; Participate in budgeting, forecasting and supplier negotiations; Establish and monitor KPIs related to service level, production efficiency, quality, cost, supply reliability and customer satisfaction; Monitor Raw and Packaging Materials and Finished Goods inventory and report potential write-off risks; Work closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Production, Quality, Planning, Logistics, Marketing, Finance and Commercial teams; Participate in internal and external audits and ensure the timely closure of identified non-conformities; Promote continuous improvement and support the implementation of Carlsberg Excellence tools and practices. What we’re looking for: Higher education in Supply Chain, Engineering, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering or a related field; 3–5 years of relevant experience in FMCG; Practical experience in managing external manufacturing sites, contractors, co-packers or third-party production partners; Strong understanding of manufacturing, packaging, production planning and logistics processes; Experience in supplier or contractor qualification, audits and performance evaluation; Knowledge of quality-management and food-safety requirements; Experience in contract management and cooperation with Procurement; Strong analytical, project-management and stakeholder-management skills; Ability to manage several operational priorities and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment. Skills: Strong analytical skills and ability to handle large data volumes; Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and PowerPoint ; Strong communication skills (ethics in business communication, negotiation and presentation, decision-making, objections handling, teamwork, drive for results, teaching skills and trainability); Fluent in Azerbaijani and Russian languages, English is highly desirable.
