Buying Specialist - Blue Planet Distribution

Department: Sport Retail Key Responsibilities: Manage the purchasing process of the brand portfolio, ensuring profitability and alignment with business strategy. Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Retail, and Marketing teams to guarantee the right assortment for stores. Monitor brand performance and propose improvements to management. Research market and consumer trends, forecast customer needs, and identify new product opportunities. Participate in seasonal buying sessions, fairs, and exhibitions to stay current with industry trends. Build and maintain strong relationships with brand partners and suppliers. Prepare, review, and confirm all purchase orders and product specifications in the system. Oversee stock levels, product distribution, and internal transfers across stores. Organize seasonal product presentations for retail teams and contribute to the development of seasonal product strategies. Provide regular sales and performance reports (weekly, monthly, annual) to management and partners. Support promotional campaigns, analyze their effectiveness, and ensure KPIs are achieved. Requirements: 3+ years of proven experience in brand management, buying, or retail operations. Knowledge of sports brands, industry trends, and consumer preferences in the sportswear/lifestyle sector. Strong analytical and negotiation skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Ability to track market trends and adapt strategies accordingly. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Fluency in Azerbaijani and English (written and verbal); knowledge of Russian is an advantage.
