Head of Risk Function - IRES

Salary: 3000 – 5000 AZN (net) Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Head of Risk Function to join a leading company in the insurance/reinsurance sector. The successful candidate will support senior management in developing and strengthening the company’s risk management framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and international standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead and enhance the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework Implement and monitor the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) Oversee capital modeling in line with Solvency II requirements Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis Prepare and present regular risk reports to senior management and Board Lead ORSA processes and forward-looking risk assessments Manage communication with regulators and rating agencies Develop and maintain internal risk policies and frameworks Collaborate with actuarial, finance, underwriting, and IT teams Identify, assess, and monitor key risks: Underwriting risks (premium, reserve, catastrophe) Market risks (FX, interest rate, spread) Credit risks (counterparty default) Operational and liquidity risks Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in risk management, actuarial, audit, or finance roles Strong knowledge of Solvency II and IFRS 17 Experience in stress testing, scenario analysis, and risk reporting Background in insurance/reinsurance is an advantage Professional certifications (e.g., FRM, actuarial) are a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Leadership skills and ability to manage a team Benefits: Competitive salary package (3000 – 5000 AZN net) Medical insurance Additional benefits package Exposure to international standards and practices Career growth opportunities within a professional environment Interested candidates can send their CV to the e-mail address in the Apply for job button. e-mail: recruitment@ires.az
