Legal Director - IRES

Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Legal Director to lead and manage all legal aspects of the business. The role involves ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, protecting company interests, and providing strategic legal guidance to senior management. Location:  Baku, Azerbaijan Employment Type:  Full-time Key Responsibilities: Act as the main legal advisor to the CEO and executive team Provide legal support on corporate, commercial, and operational matters Ensure compliance with local legislation and regulatory requirements Oversee corporate governance and interactions with authorities Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts (suppliers, distributors, etc.) Manage litigation, disputes, and external legal counsel Identify and mitigate legal risks across business operations Support labor and employment-related legal matters Protect intellectual property and manage related risks Lead and develop the in-house legal team Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.M. preferred) Minimum 7–10 years of relevant legal experience Proven experience in a senior legal leadership role Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and labor law Experience in manufacturing or international trade is an advantage Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills Strong leadership and communication abilities Fluency in Azerbaijani and English Interested candidates can send their CV to the e-mail address in the Apply for job button.
