Production Director (News) - IRES

Baku, Azerbaijan / Local candidates only We are looking for an experienced Production Director (News) to join a high-level international media project in Baku. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full production side of a live news operation and supporting the launch and development of new programmes. Key Responsibilities: Plan and manage daily live news production, including studios, crews, control rooms, live links and outside broadcasts Build effective shift structures and production rosters Translate programme schedules into detailed production plans and rundowns Manage pilot broadcasts and support programme/channel launches Coordinate closely with editorial, technical and graphics teams Plan and deliver breaking news coverage and major live events Monitor on-air quality and implement improvements Recruit, manage and coach production teams Develop production procedures and workflows Requirements: Minimum 12 years of experience in TV production At least 5 years in senior production management within a national news channel Strong experience managing daily live news production across multiple shifts Experience with a channel launch, relaunch, studio move or major format change Proven experience managing large teams and production budgets Good understanding of modern newsroom, studio automation and graphics systems Native Azerbaijani and good working English Hands-on, highly operational approach Interested candidates can send their CV to the e-mail address in the Apply for job button.
