HSSE Supervisor - IRES

Location: Azerbaijan Industry: Energy / Power Generation Employment Type: Full-time We are seeking a qualified and experienced HSSE Supervisor to join a major industrial project in Azerbaijan. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Health, Safety, Security & Environmental (HSSE) standards, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities Implement and monitor HSSE policies, procedures, and management systems across plant operations. Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Ensure compliance with applicable HSSE legislation, international standards, and contractual requirements. Monitor contractors' and subcontractors' compliance with HSSE requirements. Support the implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) systems and ensure safe execution of maintenance, shutdown, and commissioning activities. Prepare daily and monthly HSSE reports, including incident records, observations, and corrective actions. Participate in incident investigations, identify root causes, and recommend preventive measures. Support emergency preparedness, response procedures, and safety awareness activities. Monitor the availability and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Coordinate with operations, maintenance teams, contractors, and relevant stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or a related discipline. Recognized HSSE certification, such as NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, or IEMA . Professional membership or affiliation with an internationally recognized HSSE institution. Practical knowledge of HSSE management systems, risk assessments, incident investigations, and emergency response procedures. Understanding of Permit to Work (PTW) systems and industrial safety requirements. Strong communication, reporting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
