Junior Network/System Engineer Conditions: Location of posting: Baku, Azerbaijan  Type of contract: employment  Employment type: permanent Number of places: 2 (two)  Work schedule: full time ( Monday - Friday, flexible work schedule ) Experience Level: junior level Salary and Benefits: salary is based on the candidate skills and capabilities, benefits include project-based bonuses, medical insurance, etc. Responsibilities Presale Support & Solution Design: Assist senior technical engineers in analyzing client RFPs/RFIs, preparing basic technical commercial proposals, and drafting Bill of Materials (BOM). Proof of Concept (PoC) & Labs: Assist in preparing demo environments, participate in lab testing, and support senior engineers in demonstrating technical solutions to prospective clients. Basic Network & System Setup: Assist in basic configuration, monitoring, and testing of enterprise switches, routers, and Windows Server environments under the guidance of mentors. Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, network topology diagrams, and deployment checklists. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or final-year student). Networking Fundamentals: Solid understanding of core networking concepts: OSI model, TCP/IP, VLANs, static routing, DNS, DHCP, and basic firewall principles. Operating Systems: Windows Server (Active Directory, DNS, user and group management) and Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS, Bash commands, file permissions, user management, package management, basic networking). Virtualization: Basic hands-on or lab experience with standard virtualization platforms (Hyper-V or VMware vSphere). Presale & Analytical Mindset: Ability to read technical requirements, structure specifications, and translate technical features into clear business solutions. Certifications: Holding a CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification or actively working toward it is considered an advantage. Languages: Fluency in Azerbaijani and good working proficiency in English. Competencies Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and systemic problem-solving skills. A strong desire to learn and develop in a technical environment. Ability to work effectively in a team, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to project success. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
