Knight Academy is a premium language and education academy in Baku. We teach English, IELTS, German and SAT, and we guide students to study abroad. We are looking for an experienced IELTS teacher to lead our exam programmes. This is a long-term, full-time role, not a few hours between private lessons. What you will do Teach IELTS Reading, Writing and Listening, from foundation level to 7.0+ exam preparation. Speaking is taught by our Director (Band 9 in Speaking). Teach Pre-IELTS (A2–B1) and bring students to an IELTS-ready B1 level. Teach our Intermediate (B1) General English groups, the students who move into IELTS next. Run placement tests and trial lessons for new students. Run our monthly mock exams and mark Writing against the IELTS band descriptors. Prepare our study-abroad students for IELTS, TOEFL or the Duolingo English Test. Run a weekly conversation club and help our social media team with short IELTS tips. Keep the curriculum, materials and progress records up to date (all digital). Requirements Official IELTS result of 8.0 or higher, with at least 7.5 in Writing (Test Report Form required). Proven experience preparing students for IELTS; two years or more preferred. Confident marking of Writing Task 1 and Task 2 against the band descriptors. Patience with A2–B1 learners: grammar and fluency, not only exam strategy. Fluent Azerbaijani. Russian, and experience with TOEFL or the Duolingo English Test, are a plus. Reliable, punctual, and looking for a long-term role. What we offer Full-time position, Monday to Saturday, at our Khatai academy near the metro (some lessons online). Salary of 1,000–1,300 AZN a month depending on experience and trial results, plus bonuses when students reach their target band and as the programme grows. The title Head of IELTS and ownership of the programme. We bring the students and handle marketing and administration; you focus on teaching and results.
