Complience and Legal Manager - SİCPA

Role Based in our office in Baku, you will play a key role in supporting both SICPA Azerbaijan and the Group's international  business activities. As the local legal and compliance expert, you will ensure that the Azerbaijan entity operates in full  compliance with local legislation while acting as a trusted legal partner to Headquarters and international project teams  on complex commercial matters. Key Responsibilities Legal & Compliance Support – SICPA Azerbaijan Ensure the company's compliance with applicable Azerbaijani laws and regulations. Monitor changes in local legislation and assess their impact on the company's activities. Support the deployment of SICPA's solutions by securing the required legal authorizations, permits, certifications and  regulatory approvals. Draft, review and negotiate local commercial agreements and other legal documentation. Provide legal support to the local management team on operational and business matters. Support HR activities by reviewing employment contracts, advising on labor law matters and assisting with payrollrelated legal aspects. Coordinate with external legal advisors and government authorities when required. Ensure sound corporate governance and maintain statutory corporate documentation. International Legal Support Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of international commercial contracts, including sales agreements, service  agreements, NDAs, partnership agreements and technology-related contracts. Provide pragmatic legal advice to Headquarters and international business teams throughout the contract lifecycle. Support complex international projects involving multiple stakeholders and jurisdictions. Identify legal and compliance risks and propose practical, business-oriented solutions. Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal templates, processes and compliance practices across the Group. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Sales, Project Management, Procurement, Finance and HR. Sustainability | SICPA Profile Education & Experience Master's degree in Law and admission to the Bar (or equivalent legal qualification). Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably combining private practice and in-house experience within an international environment. Solid knowledge of commercial, corporate and employment law. Strong experience in drafting and negotiating international commercial contracts. Experience supporting cross-border projects and working with multicultural teams. Previous exposure to compliance and regulatory matters would be an asset. Languages Fluency in English and Azerbaijani is required. Russian is highly desirable. Additional languages are considered a plus. Soft Skills Strong business acumen and pragmatic mindset. Solution-oriented with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities.
