Project Manager - Push30 | Vakansiya

Location: Baku, Azerbaijan  Role Overview The Project Manager is responsible for delivering capital projects across the gym network, including new club openings, refurbishments, and estate improvement initiatives. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the company's operational and quality standards while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, landlords, and external partners.  Key Responsibilities: New Club Openings (NCO) Lead the end-to-end delivery of new fitness clubs, from shell condition through fit-out to operational handover. Coordinate project activities with Real Estate, Design, Operations, contractors, landlords and suppliers. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring milestones and opening dates are achieved. Manage pre-opening readiness to ensure a seamless transition to operations. Estate Enhancements Manage refurbishment, renovation, expansion and preventative maintenance projects across existing gym locations. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, member experience and asset longevity. Coordinate planned maintenance and capital improvement programs while minimising business disruption. Vendor & Contractor Management Source, evaluate and manage contractors, suppliers, consultants and service providers. Lead procurement activities, including tendering, vendor selection and contract negotiations. Monitor contractor performance, quality standards, timelines, and compliance with contractual obligations. Budget & Schedule Management Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts and cost plans. Monitor project expenditures and identify opportunities for cost optimization. Track project schedules, proactively manage risks, and implement corrective actions where necessary. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within approved budgets while maximising return on investment. Stakeholder Management & Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communication across departments. Provide regular project updates, risk assessments and progress reports to senior leadership and Board members. Facilitate collaboration between Operations, Finance, Procurement, Marketing, HR, IT and external stakeholders. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure all construction, refurbishment and fit-out activities comply with applicable building regulations, legal requirements and health & safety standards. Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure all required permits, certifications and inspections are completed before project handover. Project Governance Establish project documentation, reporting standards and governance processes. Maintain accurate project records, budgets, schedules, contracts and change requests. Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement. Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Sports Management, Architecture, or a related discipline.  Experience: 3+ years of project management experience within multi-site operations. Experience managing construction, fit-out, refurbishment or facility development projects. Previous experience in the fitness, retail, hospitality, leisure, or franchise sectors is highly preferred. Languages: Full professional proficiency in English, Russian, and Azerbaijani is required to coordinate effectively across core markets and global stakeholders. Skills & Competencies Commercial Acumen Proven experience managing project budgets, procurement and contract negotiations. Strong financial planning and cost-control capabilities. Ability to evaluate project investment and return on investment (ROI). Strong understanding of construction processes, fit-out projects, and facilities management. Working knowledge of local building regulations, health & safety legislation, and compliance requirements.
