Conditions: Location of posting: Baku, Azerbaijan  Type of contract: employment  Employment type: permanent Number of places: 1 (one)  Work schedule: full time ( Monday - Friday, flexible work schedule ) Experience Level: middle level Salary and Benefits: salary is based on the candidate skills and capabilities, benefits include project-based bonuses, medical insurance, etc. Responsibilities Enterprise Infrastructure: Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise-grade server hardware, storage systems, and virtualization clusters for client integration projects. Storage Systems & Architecture: Work with enterprise storage solutions; clearly articulate and evaluate differences between NAS and SAN architectures (block vs. file storage, protocol selection) based on client workload requirements. Linux Administration & Troubleshooting: Perform advanced administration, monitoring, performance tuning, and deep troubleshooting of Enterprise Linux and Windows Server environments. Virtualization & High Availability: Implement and manage high-availability virtualization clusters (VMware vSphere, KVM/Proxmox, or Hyper-V), resource allocation, migration strategies, and backup/DR plans. Network & Security Alignment: Configure and troubleshoot server-side network settings (VLAN tagging, bonding/lacp, static routing, firewall rules) and ensure seamless interoperability with core network infrastructure. Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience as a System Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or Technical Specialist in enterprise environments or IT integration . Storage Systems Expertise: Strong understanding of enterprise storage architectures, RAID configurations, and storage protocols (SAN vs. NAS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS, SMB); capability to explain trade-offs and select the right solution for specific business workloads. Virtualization Expertise: Practical mastery of enterprise virtualization ecosystems (VMware ESXi/vCenter, Proxmox VE, KVM, or Hyper-V) including cluster setup, high availability, and storage integration. Linux Expertise & Deep Troubleshooting: Advanced Linux administration skills (RHEL/Rocky Linux, Ubuntu Server/Debian); strong ability to diagnose OS-level bottlenecks, kernel/system logs, storage I/O issues, and system service failures . Network Knowledge: Solid foundation in enterprise networking (OSI, TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, static routing, VPNs, basic firewall principles) equivalent to associate-level networking standards. Operating Systems: Proficient with Windows Server ecosystem (Active Directory, DNS, Group Policies) alongside Linux systems. Languages : Fluency in Azerbaijani and good working proficiency in English. Competencies Systemic problem-solving mindset with excellent analytical and root-cause analysis skills. Strong ownership attitude and ability to lead implementation projects end-to-end. Adaptability to fast-paced IT integration environments and evolving vendor technologies. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
